NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will issue the next housing scheme in December 2016.
Top DDA officials said while about 40,000 flats would be ready by year-end, remaining would be completed next year.
"Currently, over 45,000 flats are under construction and over 16,000 flats are at planning stage. About 40,000 flats would be completed by mid-December, out of which 24,660 would be LIG.

Rest would be completed in 2017," DDA vice-chairman Balvinder Kumar said.
DDA is currently handing over the flats to successful applicants of its 'Housing Scheme 2014'and Union urban development minister M Venkaiah Naidu is scheduled to officially start the process of allotment at the housing authority's headquarters, Vikas Sadan, tomorrow. Kumar said the flats in the new schemes would be built with modern and green technology.
"Our last scheme had mostly small one-bed room flats but this time we have LIG flats, which are bigger. And, the flats would be built using pre-fab, green and modern technology. They would be located in the same Dwarka, Rohini region as in the last scheme," he said during a media briefing.
